This position would require a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote out of our Brentwood, TN office location.
SUMMARY:
The Director, Health Services Support provides expertise and support to Health Services representing the healthcare organization to the FSC and field leadership teams. Facilitates and implements the Health Services vision as it relates to strategic initiatives, process improvements, performance metrics and continuous quality improvement programs. Launches new service lines, analyzes capital investments and operationalizes system support improvements. Acts as liaison between facility medical departments and various FSC health service leaders and FSC functional departments such as operations, finance, accounting, IT and purchasing. Helps ensure seamless processes between facility medical departments and key vendor relationships such as pharmacy, provider networks, purchasing, IT, labs and radiology. Assists with evaluating vendor performance and vendor selection. Assists with goal setting, timelines to implementation, milestone targets, progress reporting, analysis, policy and process development, assigning and tracking accountability and long-term measurement of sustainable improvements. Manages broad cross-departmental collaboration across the enterprise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
Supports the Health Services Department in the development, oversight, management, and monitoring of short and long-range process improvement plans, system innovation, policies, surge allocation resources and other operating initiatives requiring oversight through project management.
Assigns task responsibility, monitors progress, keeps teams on schedule, ensures healthy and timely communication, identifies issues and offers solutions or facilitates team discussions that surface solutions.
Provides the health services operations and clinical teams robust support including establishing goals, setting difficult but achievable schedules/timelines, identifying work streams, identifying required resources, establishing progress milestones, identifying key measurements of improvement and tracking progress.
Works with operational and financial data related to health services delivery. Collects market relevant and industry specific data relative to management of health services projects. Derives strategy and implementation planning from cross-functional teams and systems.
Identifies and solves problems that could delay the provision of new services. Assumes responsibility for projects adhering to budgets and timelines and ensures outcomes are delivered with the expected value to all stakeholders.
Develops strong working knowledge of the health service department's operating and governance structure to ensure adequate team representation, system wide adoption, robust communication, clear lines of authority and engagement of leaders, middle management and front-line staff as appropriate.
Oversees the implementation and optimization of outside vendor health services to ensure successful implementation, adoption, standardization, and achievement of high-performance operating process benchmarks.
Directs project management related tasks, while supporting the team in the preparation and development of project activities and budgets.
Defines scope, budget and schedule for operations and clinical projects. Tracks, monitors, and controls expense based on budgetary guidelines. Ensures initiatives' execution within defined budget and timelines and reports out to executive leadership on progress. Coordinates financial analysis that support operations and strategic growth.
Provides strategic direction, budget management, development, implementation, maintenance, and management of a telehealth network of providers. Serves as department subject matter expert for related internal and external supporting technology systems.
Coordinates and integrates telehealth services with Allscripts and other EHRs and data systems as necessary.
Works cross functionally in a matrix structure with clinical staff and executives.
Domestic U. S. travel is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree is required.
Master's degree in Health Administration or MBA preferred.
Five years of experience in high level contract administration, quality assurance or project management. Additional related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team demonstrating strong interpersonal, organizational, management, problem-solving and change management skills is required.
Strong relational, verbal and written skills, analytical, research, and financial modeling skills required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
Experience with Power Bi and DMS is preferred.
