The Health Services Contract Compliance Coordinator supports health services contract compliance of the facility’s medical program based on Facility Support Center (FSC) goals, objectives and philosophy in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations and standards of patient care. Provides support to the Health Services Administrator (HSA), Regional Director of Health Services, Health Services Compliance Team, RN Contract Compliance, and others in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying, and administering the Contract Compliance program to evaluate and improve the quality of patient care. Evaluates the timeliness of the provided service in meeting contractual requirements, adherence to policy, and to accreditation standards.

  • Reviews and evaluates health services staff performance of nonclinical duties as prescribed by CoreCivic policy and/or partner contracts/requirements. This includes training new employees in the nonclinical aspects of job requirements, evaluating performance through observation and /or file review and documenting findings for elevation to the appropriate chain of command.

  • Documents findings of reviews or issues discovered during assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures.Reports any issues to facility and FSC management timely.

  • Assists CoreCivic facilities in correction of findings from compliance reviews as assigned by management.

  • Communicates duties, authorities and responsibilities to staff in accordance with federal, state, or local standards, CoreCivic policies, accreditations, and/or other applicable partner related requirements, so that they are clearly defined and understood.

  • Monitors the provision of contractual services for appropriateness and maximum efficiency.

  • Maintains a positive working relationship with facility and FSC staff, nursing staff, contract providers and outside agencies.Assists in motivating and encouraging staff to perform their duties consistent with policy and procedures.

  • Assists in the effective use of facility/department resources.Assists in conducting physical inventories and with development of Periodic Automatic Replacement (PAR) levels.

  • Domestic U.S. travel is required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.

  • Three years healthcare/health services experience required.

  • One year of experience in correctional healthcare is required.

  • One year of experience in healthcare compliance and use of electronic medical record (EMR) is preferred.

  • Completion of training/education in either a health services related field; i.e. nursing or health services administration is preferred.

  • If a licensed nurse, must possess current licensure in the state of employment and/or possess multi-state licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications or other similar software applications is required.
